Photographer's Note

Now I have a scanner to work on my slides, so I have been working a lot to scan my thousends underwater pictures... From place to place, sometimes I made a couple of dry photos as well, and this is the first one I would like to show you.
I've considered myself a lucky guy when I went to the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, in Belize. The New York Times Best Seller, 1000 Places To See Before You Die, Features Lighthouse Reef Resort!
I took my shoes out as soon as I left the little airplane arriving the atoll and I just found it one week later, to wear it again at the plane's door when we left the island. At that time, the Atoll had just 11 bungalows for 10 happy couples, and 22 people working as resort's staff. No village, no nothing. Just scuba divers and the wonderful nature! The scuba diving was great all around the Atoll, including the world famous "Blue Hole". Belize has the third greatest barrier reef in the world and it is very well preserved (well, at least in 1997 it was!).
I will try to scan my negatives as well, and depending of the results I will post some more pictures later. The chromes are going very well, sometimes with nice results, sometimes not so good. I hope you will enjoy this old travel's photos..
