Last month I went from Mexico to Panamα mostly by local buses. Belize was the first surprise. I was planning to drive through the country in less than a day, reaching Guatemala. But as the buses took me through some beautiful landscape I decided I had to stay in Belize for the night. One of the greenest countries I've been to. The coast is a tourist trap full of gringos, but those areas can be avoided. Belize is also full of strange place names like Orange Walk, Bermudian Landing, More Force and Dump. This picture was taken in Hattieville, on the bus from Belize City to San Ignacio. My new local friend Tifara had just left the bus and my camera was back in position.
