Photographer's Note
Belize City has about 70,000 inhabitants. In prehistoric times the land was inhabited by Mayans who created major centers with huge buildings. In the 16th century the Spanish tried to conqueror the land. However, but it doesn't work. For many years the country was mainly dominated by pirates who plundered the valuable timber resources. Later, from the beginning of the 19th century, the country was placed under British protectorate.
Today Belize City is harbour for large cruise ships and its tourists visit the new Mayan Temple.

Hello Achim,
Your composition is nice taking the shot from a POV that shows the building from an angle which creates a sense of direction. The lighting is fine and you have captured it nicely. The Diamonds International reminds us that this is a cruise trap, you see those in every port of call in the Caribbean.

Hello Achim,
I see you found "nirvana" there in Belize. :-) It's nice that there is a painting referencing the Mayan culture, but the rest of the scene looks like many other tourists destinations, with duty free shops and lots of visitors. I like the bright colors, and it's nice to see a photo from Belize, which seems less represented than other Central American countries here on TE.

Hello Achim,
The Maya pyramid painting on the roof is eyecatching and the red brown color around it contrasts well against the blue sky. The people passing by animate the scene and provide scale. Good sharpness and excellent color and saturation. The geometric square motif reminds me of Chinese motifs. Tfs.
