Photographer's Note
Wooden houses near the centre of Belize city.
With about 60000 people this is the largest city in the country and its main port. It was the capital of the former British Honduras (now Belize) until 1970, when the government was moved to Belmopan.

Nice picture from the Belize City. The street looks poor and abandoned.
I was in Belize in 2001 and went from there to the islands. The boat seemed overloaded and I was afraid i would not survive it. Everything ended well but I was really scared.
Jave a nice day

Hola Pedro
I like this kind of photo because it is an exelent means of communicating how a strange city is.. This is one of the shots that have a way of explaining the atmosphere or soul of a place. I think B/W was a smart choise. I can feel Belize all the way here in Scandinavia. Well done Pedro
