Photographer's Note
Photo taken at "Can Cau" market, about 25km from Bac Ha town, Laocai province and only 9km from Chinese border. This is the open-air market of the Flower H'mong people and it takes place once a week on Saturday morning. This old lady was selling some dried chilly and garlic, but there seemed no consumers coming to her and she started daydreaming.

Hi,
Beautiflu BW portrait, the contrast emphasize the wrinkles of the lady, making a very good personalization.
Thanks a lot for sharing,
Marion

Hello Tan
Wish I could see her eyes,to catch the moment when she looks straight to you,to your camera.
A good portrait IMO,black and white always a good choice for people faces photos.
Color version looks good too,I think.
My kind regards

hello Tan,
an excellent portrait that looks good in black & white.i like the patterning of her headscarf and bodice as well as the patterns of wrinkles on her face. A study of patterns?regards

Hello Tan,
Such an interesting portrait of this old woman, full of character. The black/white and gray tones are excellent, and the detail in her face is commendable. Very well done.
Cheers Grant
