Photographer's Note
Interesting hustle and bustle Hoi An fish market on the bank of Thu Bon river at dawn when the place becomes crowded and buzzing with life as the fishing boats arrive in numbers to unload the night's catch. This similar scene must have been repeated throughout the centuries, here everybody is doing something: selling, buying, waiting, bargaining, getting on and off the boat and so much going on. A very captivating scene and by the time the sun is up the market is already at full swing. As depicted, people in Vietnam work really hard but the rewards are not high.
I simply love the unforgettable atmosphere when an early morning light gives the scene a timeless quality plus all the noise, the smell and the energy of this place and of course the endless photographic opportunity it offers.
Setting: 18 mm, 1/80 sec, F5.6, ISO 200, 0538 hrs & GND filter

Perfectly exposed to capture the early morning mood. The well composed image encompasses the busy fish market and also allows us a glimpse down the river. Sublime lights and colours and very good clarity.

Hello Abmdsudi, a beautiful light rewarded you for getting up so early! It permeates the scene with a really peaceful atmosphere. And yet I am sure, if I were there, peaceful would probably not describe the noise and smells!
Everyone is getting on with the business of their day, not bothered by a photographer taking in the scene.

A superb sunset and well framed and composed using a wide angled, panoramic format. I like the strong warm cold colour contrasts between the blue and orange. Excellent reflections and a stark contrast between the quiet water at left and busy floating market at right. Tfs!
