The Hoi An Ancient Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being a well preserved South East Asia trading port popular with traders in the 15 th to 19 th century.
Now, a very popular place with local visitors and foreign tourists.
Dusk at Hoi An is quite magical. Especially when the lanterns on the waterfront shops start to light up.

Hello Sam,
Vibrant action along the waterfront market and promenade.
Light at the far horizon glowing marvelously in contrast to the grey clouds. Despite the mild light condition, picture is super.

Hello Sam,
When I was there in 2001 a woman in the sampan like the one seen here demanded $5 US for taking her photo even though it was a wide angled view like this. I declined. Good sharpness and shadow detail. Tfs!

Hello Sam,
You used the remaining light very well to create a photo with fine contrasts and clear colours. The many people create a fine ambience. The first time I was in Hoi An there were few tourists and only one hotel, recently opened. Maybe five restaurants. The town has changed a lot.
