Photographer's Note
The pith helmet (also known as the safari helmet, sun helmet or topee) is a lightweight cloth-covered helmet made of cork or pith.
After World War II, the Viet Minh of Vietnam based their helmet design on the French pith helmet of the former colonial power and adopted it as their own. Today it is still widely worn by civilians in Vietnam, mostly in the North.

Bon WE

Salut Andrι,

Hi Andrι!
Very beautiful portrait!
Special regards to the chosen pov, composition, exposure and colors!
Sharpness is also superb, allowing me to see all the details in that man so neatly! A blurred bg is also interesting for this image!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,

Hi Andre, Choice of lens and POV has worked well for you here, giving lots of depth and an engaging shot. Surprising DOF at that aperture works well too. cheers, Steve

Bonjour Andre
A great shot from the north. Fine portrait with great colours and sharpness. Good crop/framing too. I like the somewhat worried expression on the man's face.

Hello Andre,
Great example that a wide angle lenses is a wonderful
"toy" to create a beautiful effect.
In this case: The man is completely on the picture and
the picture has a lots of depth and the f5.6
diaphragm makes the background nicely calmness.
The light management and composition are (as always)
great.
Merry Christmas and a happy 2012
Friendly regards,
Robert

FANTASTIC.again love the way u have positioned this man on the right of your frame,to reveal the road and thus adding depth.using your wide lens to the fullest, gives the man a real character, and the vehicle he is sitting on adds to it.also loved the way u have used the shallow focus.
