Photographer's Note
Tomorrow , it's my 16th TE-anniversary.
I would like to upload something with a big smile. Like these pictures.
I've no idea where exactly this tea plantation and the surrounding are.
I remembered we left the hotel in the morning , on the way to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park , after that we were on the road again to our next seaside resort hotel in Dong Hoi for 3 nights. It was a pure relaxation
these two full days before we continued further down south to Hue.
The main picture, why is she smiling? I'll reveal that in WS1.
The WS2 - a between stopped again. A lady with a smile again ( slightly nervous ) and the tour-groups.
Looking back, I wished I had given her something, like a small tip. She just walked past me and crossed the other side of the road, in hurry ( I can't blamed her ). I hope she has a family to turn to in this difficult times.

Hello Loong,
Congratulations on your 16th anniversary here (which means you are only ten days 'younger' than me in TE-years). A good photo of the vast tea fields and the two tea pickers in the foreground. Well captured and composed.

Hello Loong,
Happy 16th birthday! You were on TE a few years before me, but IRL I came before you, I'm pretty sure. ;-)
This is a nice photo, for the green ground and for showing people at work, which I always enjoy. The WS showing the smiling lady from a distance is a good complement, but I prefer this where they both look more unconcerned by you. I also like the photo of the elderly lady, and you could have used that as another main upload, although it's sad to see an old destitute person. I guess most of us prefer "nice" photos like this one.
Best regards,
Gert

Three pictures with daily life rheme from the tea plantation, wonderfully presented, Loong.
I think the lady who was smiling, realized you were there taking pictures of her and her mate.
Fine outcome, my cong.s,
Ike

Hi Loong, three beautiful photos that testify to the hard work of Vietnamese women in The plantations. I saw the same scenes in Sri Lanka years ago, at least these are on the plains and not on steep hills. She smiles but also the old woman carrying her things to the WS sports a nice smile, nice high quality reportage as always. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Loong,
You will have seen a lot of changes to this site in 16 years and though many things have been detrimental, there is still something so rewarding about contacting and sharing views around the world, with friendly, like-minded photographers. Happy anniversary!
I think you have chosen the better, more discrete smile for you main post. It looks like a back-breaking job so she must be smiling for you, not for the enjoyment of her work!
Was the old lady really carrying all her possessions!
You wonder about her life experiences and would have happened to her since!
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Hello Loong, three lovely pictures.
It looks like back breaking work, but maybe one gets used to it.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Loong,
You discovered this site before I did. Congratulations with your anniversary here.
No terraces on these pictures but that doesn't matter. As far as we can see there are vast tea fields. Moreover, you can show us photos with the people who pick the tea. Apparently they like that you photograph them.
I didn't see any tea fields in Vietnam but probably wasn't in the right locations for that. I do remember that Vietnam is a big exporter of ... coffee.
Best regards, Paul
