Photographer's Note
Markets are everywhere in the world a must. The market in Can THo, in the area of the Mekong Delta, is a fantastic place. I spent some hours rowing around the Cairang Market, but it was really surprising when you go inside this market and see these two ladies, very professionals absolutely surrounded by the meat.

Hello,
I have to agree with you that these ladies are a real contrast to their surroundings. They appear dressed like hairdressers or sales professionals - not meat carvers. My experience with markets likes these is that they stink, and these two seem way to delicate for that. Very good post.

So, this is the meat market? So much fresh. I can almost smell it. Not the most pleasant image to look at, but a good daily life image. Even harder for vegetarians. Good details so good I have to go away soon.

I see, that is your pork butcher market shot from Vietnam, you wrote. It is a very stunning shot, especially at it is a first that I see female pork butchers. I have seen countless female butchers for chicken, seafood and frogs, but pork, not so far. Each of the have their scale. I'm not so sure, but it could be that your picture has a slight blueish hint. Otherwise a very fine composition and execution. Well done

Hi Roser. Powerful image whether one is omnivorous or a vegetarian. How many former lives are hanging on those hooks!I feel sorry for these ladies surrounded by death and the smell of it. As for the photo, it does have an impact. Regards. Klaudio.
