Photographer's Note
This picture shows a different (and much more common) view of the bridge over the river Kwai then my last post of it. The bridge is still a functioning railway, and every now and then a train will crawl through, whih can get quite worrying as there are only a certain amount of safe places to stand when this happens!
This is actually a composite of two pictures taken from the same position, It shows the same group of tourists advancing towards me at two different times. This was to create the effect of a constant stream of people (which I did see, but wasn't quick eneough to capture for real).

nice rendition, very smart technique indeed : the recomposed motion blur makes them all anonymous while giving a bulky and steady feel to the bridge.
very nice cold BW tones all over, contrast and density are spot on.

How interestingly risky life is, once you get out of the EU and USA. I can just see similar groups of tourists walking over similar engineering landmarks here, such as the Forth Bridge. Very neat technique, which also gave you the opportunity to catch some movement as they came close.

I botched my roll of slides from this place so I'm always keen to see pictures from Kanchanaburi. This captures everything I can remember about this place except for the terrific heat and blazing sunlight. I guess what's interesting here, and its captured in your technique, is that no one really stops when they walk down the bridge to take a really good look at it-- just shuffling past like it's another thing to do. Taking a closer look reveals little plaques stuck to the spans that the Japanese had to replace in 1947-8 from my memory as a reparation.
Tonality is great thoughout.
