Photographer's Note
It is like the Miss World competition. The contestants are down to the last six. The tension is unbearable. This is the annual water buffalo festival at Chornburi. The rice farmers have come in from the provinces for this two hundred year old festival. Each one is sure that their buffalo is the most beautiful and the most perfect.Into the final selection this farmer is showing signs of tension: there is a lot of pride at stake here. The farmer may be showing signs of stress but, at least, the buffalo is still able to smile.

Hi Kevin,
strong coloured double portrait, a bit very frontal but that is the chance of the moment I think. Nice smile on the left, missing on the right. I like the good sharpness.

hahahaha, the funiest portrait I've seen lately in TE. I love these water buffalos and this close approach sure makes me smile. Judging for those perfect teeth I would bet on this fellow. Very good one, Kevin.

I must say a very humouristic caught,smiley Twenty Nine and the serious looking farmer and I bet,they sure are the best looking couple at the competition hall...and I also imagine how many of us are jealous of Twenty Nine`s( still complete )white theeths...

this is a very funny picture!I like this close double portrait where the man seems worried,and the buffalo seems to give a large smile to be selected!Maybe it's the best with its white teeth and its beautiful pink scarf around its neck!
