Photographer's Note
The Moral Uplifting Society was formed in 1952 to perform charitable works such as distributing rice, blankets and free coffins to the poor; providing student lunches; and disaster relief. After residing in several other places, the temple was established on the bank of the river in 1993. This eye-catching pagoda was opened in 2001 to celebrate the society's 50th anniversary and the king's 72nd birthday.
To get there, take the cross river ferry from the Royal Orchid Hotel. You can climb the 8 story pagoda for a city view.

Hey! I've already seen this pagoda! (:-)
well, surely it was deserving more than one shot!
You do like me: take different composition of the same subject - which is always a good policy - and then post it in different sites! (:-)
The pov is slightly moved to the left here and, am I wrong or the colours here are wormer? Maybe you have taken it in a different hour of the day.
This is Thailand as we have imagined in our collective conscience: a charming and exotic place full of grace. That gate is a fine complement to the pagoda and here too the composition is very harmonious.
Well done,
Donato

Hi Pat,
I comment on a different shot of this place on PF and I was right it is a Chinese style temple, I can see the Chinese writing on the gate. I like this one better than one on PF. Better composition, and it looks like you have to stitch it togther.
Very good shots.

Hello Pat
I remember seeing this pagoda from the taxi boats, but I have never ventured close, forget about climbing it. the pagoda & the gate look nice...your last two pictures look a bit dark in my monitor...maybe you can increase the luminescence?! Also I could not understand the F/0.8!..maybe a typo error?
Take care & Best Regards
Angshu

Hi Pat
i'm surprised i missed this photo in your gallery.
it truly stands out, and makes a strong visual statement.
the lighting and colors are muted a bit, and makes the overall scene very elegant.
i honestly wouldnt' change anything.
excellent work.
cheers
