Photographer's Note
Bangkok's chinatown is a colorful area offering many photographic possibilities, here a rambutan seller with a big pile of fruits, and his pink scarf .
I found thai people quite like to be photographed...
And i enjoy to take their picture! A win.win situation.
Hope you'll like it

Hi Laurent,
I great shot of the fruit seller. Very nice colours. The guy looks so nice and friendly with his hat and his nice smile.
How many fruits did you get for 20 Bath. I've been there one week later, but I didn't see this guy.
Have a nice evening,
Nino

Bonjour Laurent

Indeed, I felt that in general, in southeast, it was much easier to photograph people. This one seems to be relaxed and not care about it and his pose is natural. Good shot with the rambutan feeling the lower part of the composition and the price well placed as well. If I remember well, when I was there in 1998, 20 of the Thai coin was about 0,50 cents of Euro...
Um abraço,
Ricardo

Excellent portrait of the fruit seller. Far from disliking your attention he actually looks very pleased. The fruit look very interesting; I don't think I have tried them.

Good environmental portrait of the fruit vendor, Laurent. A reasonable framing with him and the pricing sign placed behind the pile of rambutan. The fruits bring a delightfully colored and vivid foreground layer to the photo and it would look very tempting to pick a few. Nice shot.

Salut Laurent,

Laurent I love the flavour of Rambutan. I have to eat the imported fruit and I wonder if it tastes better in Bangkok. Its one of those fruits that lends itself for photography with its sea urchin look and red core. Very nice photo showing this man with his display.

Laurent bonjour !

Hi Laurent. You have composed this well, but I think the result would have been better if you had gone for a deeper DOF (I am guessing that you probably used auto exposure and that's why you ended up with f/2.8) because the man is extremely sharp but not the rambutans. Overall the balance is very good and I am glad you were not tempted to over-saturate as we see so many others do with their rambutan shots. Cheers . . . David

Salut Laurent.

Bonne semaine - Izzet
