Photographer's Note
I think finding a name for this photo is going to require a botanist (an expert on plants). Does anyone know what type of plant/ tree this flower is from?
Singapore has a vast variety of foliage, non of which is familiar to this Canadian boy!
I was out for a walk through Singapore's Botanical Gardens, when I passed by this small pond & this floating flower.
I hope you like it...

A really beautifully rendered macro image, there's been a few references to these gardens on TE, I must call in next time I'm there.

Hi Dan,
Having seen the preview made me curious. What a delicat flower this is with such good details. It lying in the water together with the reflections and the leaves make it a very beautiful composition. Well seen and captured.

My goodness you know how to find interesing things to shoot. I am stumped on this one. But I bet Brian Minter knows. He knows all the plants that ever existed. He lives in Chilliwack. So print it off and bring it to him and he will be glad to tell you.

Hello Dan,
I enjoyed the composition and the details of this plant. Moreover the seperate leaves around complete the composition.
I have no idea what plant it is. But, I learned the names of some of my photos like these by posting them to Treknature rather than TE, I think there are so many Botanists on that site and as soon as I posted they replied with the name and very well detailed information about the plant.(That is how I learned the names Dandelion and Clematis which I had no idea before:))
Anyway this is a very aesthetic photo and catches eye.
Regards and best wishes
Sibel
