Isn't this beautiful cathedral looks magnificent here? This picture is my favorite nowadays. Recently, when I was crossing the Patriarchy Bridge with my client from Indonesia to visit Cathedral of Christ the Savoir, I took one picture with my client on this bridge and then I looked on new picture, I was so impressed by it's miracle atmosphere so I decided to make several more shots here. I was very lucky on this moment, because of it was end of the day and getting dark; the lights on the bridge and illumination of exterior the cathedral were just turned on; the lights inside cathedral also were turned on because of the service inside cathedral was recently started.
I think that this famous cathedral achieves to be special, as like on this picture, and called “fairy-like” because of it is:
- Great monument to Russian military glory to commemorate the feat of Russian people in the Patriotic War of 1812;
- Built in Russian-Byzantine style to mark the origin of Christianity in Russia
- Largest church in Russia and visible from all over central Moscow;
- symbol of Russia's spiritual revival after atheistic Soviet times and starting democracy from 1990s.
- Part of Russian and Moscow life as the main cathedral of the country.

Technically, it is perfect!Superb returned for this city which take all its photographic value the night...The colors are fantastic and the sky not too black, which is very significant.

Great capture
the night shot is outstanding.
Great colours, DOF, POV and sharpness.
If I can send you an advice, I think that's the church would be better if in the center of the picture, just to capture the same numbe of the lampost in the two sides...but I have to admit that is great as it is..

Beautiful evening shot of this well lighted cathedral. With the lights on and the snow on the bridge you created a wonderful fairy tail atmosphere.
I like the compo where you ave put the cathedral slightly out of the center of the photo. Very good light and good POV. Well done.

The lighting is just right on this, with the artificial light on the cathedral balanced against the sky light. The snow on the ground looks great too, really making this seem like Moscow. Great piece of work!

This is a beautiful image captured very well on the full with sublime lights and dull soft colours. The clarity is superb and so is your pov and perspective. Its an amazing shot overall that captures this ancient architecture very well and preserves it for the future. Lovely work indeed my friend.

the cathedral was one of my favorite buildings in moscow.

I have been lucky enough to have been here but honestly, you have captured it so beautifully that i want to visit it again and take another photo of it. My photos are so dull in comparison!!! I love how the church is slightly off centre and how you have used the lights as a focal point as well. The colour of the sky makes the church stand out more and gives it a very romantic feel. Great composition.... this is just 'picture perfect'!!. Well done!!
