Сигтунские врата. В 1187 новгородцы и карелы подошли к шведской столице Сигтуне, взяли ее и разрушили. Ворота города забрали и поместили на стену собора Святой Софии. Так они там и висят до сих пор.

In the year 1187 during one of many wars between Novgorod and Kingdom of Sweden Novgorodian fleet with support of Karelians stormed Swedish capital of that time - Sigtuna. City was destroyed and it's gates taken to Novgorod.
Novgorodians respected their main cathedral - St. Sophie so much, that their battle-field cry was "Who is it against Novgorod the Great and Saint Sophia?!". So they placed gates of Sigtuna on the western wall of St-Sophie. So it was and so it is - gates are still there.
It's an early Medieval Ages metalwork, made in Deutsche city Magdeburg, XII century, so another name of the gates is "Magdeburg's Gates".
