Photographer's Note

The Kazan church (1758) is one of the wonderful Volga's temples. As per the legend the St. Nicholas chapel was on this place before. That ancient time all people who have being pass by ships along Volga had to bring up the big stones here for the base of new church. So that stones can be seen until now. The church was profaned on XX century. At the end of century it was decided to revive but the works didn't start yet.

It was interesting the Volga river was opened from the ice right the morning before the shot was taken. Thanks for your comments and regards.
