In the end of the 1940's, Stalin undertook to erect seven imposing buildings across Moscow to symbolise the power of communism. Those share a similar architecture and really stand out from the background

From the hill near the University, it is possible to see most of them dispersed around the city. Surely, the most impressive of the seven Stalin skyscrapers is the University itself.

This one is visible from a bridge just south of the Red Square. It is actually an appartment building now and a contact I had in Moscow told me the rent was around US$12,500 per month...
