Photographer's Note
This young boy in the picture is helping clean their fishing boat. His father is a fisherman in this small fishing village of Calayo, Batangas, Philippines. Calayo lies inside Calayo Bay, a nice, very well protected bay west of Luzon Island. Calayo village is about 3 hours drive south of Manila. (Distance wise Calayo is not far but the roads are not fully developed.) Calayo is only 15 minutes by jet ski south of Lido Beach. Calayo village is very peaceful, devoid of any commercial touches or influence. The people are very friendly, their children are fun to be with and the men, being fishermen are an advantage to us because we can buy sea foods from them, fresh and very inexpensive.

A great colourful daily life photo Andre.
y only proble is with the cut off outrigger on the RHS, but then maybe it is not necessary.
I love your fisherman photos, please post lots more.

Wow! A very sharp composition, Andre! I like how you've captured the boy - busy and focused in his work, right half of him is partly dark, and good skin texture, very real!

Another excellent daily life photo Andre. the texture is next to the real thing. looking at your photo gives me the feeling that he is just in front of me. I love the color and calm blue sea....rgds

Nice POV. I like the diagonal made by the canoe and the placement on the composition, although I feel the framing is a bit tight. Some more space to the left and top would create a more dynamic composition.
