Photographer's Note
This scene did not feel like daily life to me when I took the photograph. It was my first night in the (true) Mongolian countryside. The previous two nights, I had been in Kharkhorin and it did not feel as extraordinary as being in a vast open space with only this light around, drunk men just ending their party in the ger (yurt) next to mine, dogs barking in the distance, and a cow mooing nearby.

Zdravo Mirtella. Obviously for you it was all a deeply felt experience but this photo would convey something of what you experienced had we been able to see a little more definition/outline of the ger.The note by contrast is very evocative. Pozdrav iz dale Australije. Klaudio.
