Hello friends in TE.
I hope this image will explain the process of planting rice in traditional manner. In the foreground id the nursery where 30 days-old young rice is pulled of its roots and tied in small bales. The bales are transported to another field ready to be planted by hand, The people in the picture are doing this tedious work of planting the young rice by hand. The space between the young plants is essential for aeration to promote growth and a healthy plant.

That's exactly the shot I'm after, however so far I was always at the wrong place at the wrong time. How do you knew that the farmers would be there? A very good educational paddy shot with vibrant colors, fine sharpness and perfect DOF. Well done

The posting gives a good impression of the workflow!
As an outsider I didn't know much about the process and the note is therefore an essential part of the presentation...
And the fresh green is very much associated with the young rice, well done on composition too!

Salam my dear friend, this a bucolic scene and pretty closely related to the wide green rice vista of Kodiang. I believe the green is the dominating colors of Kedah and Perlis by this time. I also like the two motorbikes parking side by side. Personally, Kedah is home to the breakneck bikeracers burning rubbers on some city streets.
