Photographer's Note
Penang was once a hub in Asia for drugs, coming back from a trip in Borneo with a friend we wanted to know how evolved Penang from that time.
Sipping a beer in jalan Chulia we had the chance to meet an indian trishaw peddler who spoke with the utmost english accent, perfectly knew Conrad or Maugham novels. As we asked him what was the key to Penang, he invited us on a very singular trishaw trip across Penang lower ends.
We started the "tour" meeting a group of indian junkies, apparently very close friends of him. After a beer, there was a slight frenzy amongst the group who invited us to a shooting party (not talking about photo...), we politely refused and carried on, having a thought about which legal penalty we could get for this kind of amusement...
This is taken while the two folks are still on beer, though his eyes seems to look for something stronger.
This open air bar was really low end, very close to Penang assh*le, the proof is the Tiger beer poster girl who's ubiquitous to any cheap bar in Malaysia or the Philippines.

What a look that guy has. He seems to be wanting to bolt from that table at once and search out that something stronger. His eyes are really hunting. The only thing that bothers me a bit here is the half guy on the right, but that's OK, because your central character makes everything happen here. Very nicely done, Luko.

one half-guy, two cut-off heads, two backs and a pair of disembodied hands - nothing competes with that gaze! Really strong atmosphere - I like it.

no offence , but this seems quite ordinary compared to the rest of your shorts..
you sent this as a link to me, saying that it is a complicated one.. i'm really sleepy at the moment and can't really figure out what im missing out on over here.
i do see a kind of a drugged look on his face.. the beer bottle compliments the look ..
is there more to the shot??
i'll have a look at the particular theme "drugs" it might be interesting.
also about the fuji reala.. i've heard of it , but never used it before.. negative? or slide?
is it any good?

c'est plutτt bien construit (si je peux ...) ... mais je m'interroge sur la couleur ? ... et puis mκme s'ils sont Malais (?), le gars dιbraillι au fond et l'ιquipιe sur le cyclo me gβchent un peu le plaisir de cette vue "au coeur du sujet".
j'ai bien bossι, j'ai bien droit ΰ une gorgιe de Tiger Beer ... je la vois posιe elle n'attend que moi ;)
