I prefer this one over the close-up shot as the light bulb really adds to the back-stage atmosphere. Great framing with the bulb exactly in the upper right corner. Would have been nice to have seen her right hand a little bit better. It wasn't until I saw the close-up that I realized what she was doing..

Another nice shot, but in my opinion the close-up is much better. The light bulb here, along with the background clutter, describe a modern production. What I like about the other image is that it is timeless, and there are no indicators of modernity, except for the camera used to capture the scene.
