Photographer's Note
Hello friends in TE.
I'm just back from three days Nikon Langkawi Photohunt 2008. This picture was taken yesterday at Tanjung Rhu where the day started at 6am and ended about 8pm when our tasks were completed. Tiring but a lot of experience drawn from the tasks. The boat was carrying eight participants for a start of a very long day ahead.

A beautiful place and very refreshing view. I think the image could use some more light but is not a big issue. The colours seem very well enhanced by the polarizer. Nice framing of this view. I am sure you had lots of fun during this trip. Thanks Jusni.

Hello Jusni,
I see very a lot moving on it water, this gives sometime for different people sick through the movement of the boat.
F/13 is very nice I would try with ISO 400 with that less good light, but I know that you than get a lot noise and this is not pleasant.
Very well composition and presentation.

It sounds like a nice three day activity you had there. Nikon Langkawi Photohunt 2008? A competition/photo workshop of some kind for Nikon owners? Strong polarizer effect especially on the the water but overall colors are soft & nice. Those pines and the cliff of the rock island look great. Regards. Latiff.

You are smart, giving away only this opener photo of a boat ride. So do I get to see more from this series?
On this shot, the PL gives a strong contrast and you have used as high as f/13 here. I have yet to get ND filter. This scene looks a bit like Kota Kinabalu side of Sabah.
Perhaps I should take up your earlier challenge to join you for this Photohunt, it looks very much fun and I hope you will share more tips with us.

A pleasant simplicity, and yet so complex... that's nature!
I like the clarity of colours in the fine light, and the frame is ideally divided in sky/sea...
I notice the boats to add some action, and the lovely blue sky!

worth the effort and sacrifice. Real total blues for photography.
Its a clean cut sky. the waves help to add dramatic scene to the water.

Jusni,
a very interesting low POV, just above the water, giving the feeling that I'm in the water and swimmning toward the island at the left side. The dominating blue colors are very beautiful, especially the rolling little waves in the foreground.
