Photographer's Note
I am pleasantly surprised that many TE members are found to be great lovers of clean rivers through your critiques.
This is another view angle of this particular spot of Giam River that I really marvel at the bedrock formation. At times of heavy rain, the water level can be quite high.
It is noticed that there are now awareness signboards placed at some rivers to make villagers and visitors alike to remind them the significance of keeping our rivers clean.
The aim is for the future generations to benefit from nature's gift to us. A few places that we have visited over the past several months are under this campaign, I am glad to note. That is a very good way to educate the public for a great cause. I will probably go back to this many more times under different weather conditions.
I hope you like this view like I do.
Regards
Bill
Jars Of Clay - There Is A River
There is a river that washes you clean
There is a tree that marks the places you've been
Blood that was spilled, although not your own,
For all of your tears, are the wages for things you have done
And all of those nights
Spent alone in the darkness of your mind
Give it up, Let go
These are things you were never meant to shoulder
There is a river that washes you clean
There is a tree that marks the places you've been
Blood that was spilled, although not your own
For all of those tears, love will atone
So, give up the right
To control the waves that empty out your life
Above wild skies
Are the rays that break the shadows we design
Give it up, let go
These are things you were never meant to shoulder
Give it up, let go
There is a river that washes you clean
There is a tree that marks the places you've been
Blood that was spilled, although not your own
For all of those things, love will atone
I know the world can turn in different ways
Most of the time, we're simply hanging on
And under the signs of how we all behave
We might find the place that we belong
There is a river that washes you clean
There is a tree that marks the places you've been
Blood that was spilled, although not your own
For all of these things, love will atone
For all of those nights, that you cried all alone

Hi Bill. Nicely composed with due sense of proportion. Well handling of colours. The boats in diminishing sizes anchored by ropes, the flow of the river and the mossy stone on the other side came off nicely. Notes too well conveyed the message. Regards.

Hi Bill
Good placement of the 3 canoes on a diagonal, which adds dynamism. Wonderful colour, with good sharpness & composition. Excellent motion blur of the water, in the bg stream. Tfs!

Hi Bill,
Beautiful frame in this one! Great perspective created with the diagonals of the boats. What I really like is that local people, no matter where they are, they have a great liking for bright colors, be it boats, outfit of homes, and that makes it uniwue.
Best wishes

Hello Bill
From your previous POV, I could not estimate that the boats were this long. Neatly arranged in a diagonal & also according to size, thereby providing good graphism. Love the turquoise waters as well. Nice one Bill

Hi Bill,
In the other ones the main subject seems to be the river, in this one the boats are. It's also very beautiful, well composed and more achieved exposure wise.

Hello Bill,
I like this photo very much; the rich blue stream is very eye-pleasing. The diagonal length and colours supplied by the canoe is very special. The mossy background is very soothing, but could do with a little more sharpness. Congratulations on this refined post.

Hi Bill,
My favorite images consist of traditional wooden boats in their natural landscape. This fits the bill extremely well with the varying lengths of these marvelous canoes that match the turquoise of the prestine river. Very clear colors with excellent details and sharpness to this lovely image with its moving note.

Hi Bill,
A nice image of the Giam river and of the colorful long boats, are they used for transportation or fishing? The scenery is getting a good luminosity and the dark background of the jungle brings out the colors. have a nice day.

Hi bill
Et oui on aime les rivieres...l'eau est source de vie.
Ton image est trθs calme et le bleu des pirogues apporte une touche de couleur vive.

Hello Bill,
Those boats are impressive vessels!
Totally purpose built, and they have very much in common with river boats the Sami use in Tana in the north of Norway...
A good diagonal composition, and I notice inclusion of three subjects!
Greetings,
