Lao Pi Mai is the Laos New Year. The first day falls on 14th April this year.
In Vientiane, Buddhist temples (wats) are visited in the morning for prayers, bathing of the Buddha statues, and for blessing by the monks.
And the monks help to decorate the place with banners, flowers....

It's a well composed scene, the monk , resplendent in his orange garbs, very strongly placed in the frame.
The features around him make a lovely patterned display into which the Buddhas add a religious meaning.

Hello Sam,
Good balance in the composition between the Buddha statue at right and the orange robed monk at left. The palm frond nicely separates the two. The yellow flowers add a splash of extra color. Good sharpness, too. Tfs!

PS: Like your yr comment on my latest upload, seriously I love the Vietnamese pho - beef noodle soup I learned to cook six year ago at a Muslim village in Saigon District 5 and it's our weekly fav meal.

Hello Sam,
It's a fine composition with attractive colours and many interesting details. The monk is well positioned between the Buddha figures, surrounded by yellow flowers and facing the other direction. His robe brightens the photo tremendously.

Trθs jolie composition. Le mouvement du moine est parfaitement saisit et les fleurs qui l'entourent offrent un beau contraste de couleurs. L'image est bien balancιe avec la statue qui lui fait face.
