Photographer's Note

This picture was taken some weeks ago at Wat Xieng Thong in Luang Prabang with the ocasion of Magha Puja. This is the second most important Buddhist festival after the celebration of Buddha's birth and death in May. The event remembers the day on which Buddha recited his Ovadha Patimokkha (Fundamental Teaching) to 1250 enlightened monks who had gathered spontaneously in Veluwan Temple, Rajgaha City. It is always celebrated on the full moon of the third lunar month and consists of meditation and prayer, followed by processions around the temple after sunset.

I have tried to capture the athmosphere without flash pushing up ISO. Since I am still trying to learn, can anyone think of another way to achive the same, perhaps needing shorter shutter speed?
