Hi Steve
Good focus on the girl's face and good choice of dof to create that colourful background blur.
Have a good weekend out there.
Cheers

Hello Steve - You have captured a lovely dreamy quality in this child's face. You are right she does look innocent. The only slight disturbing feature are the two figures behind the girl, which detract and interfere with the portrait. Warm wishes for 2012. Rosemary

hi steve,
this is a lovely informal portrait. your composition is excellent. the light is wonderful creating a warm light behind the girls head. the depth of field shallow to isolate our focus on her. her expression is very natural. great picture.

brian

Hello Steve,
What a beautiful candid photograph of this young girl whose appearance does, as you say, speak "innocence".
Lovely soft colours, wonderful sharpness against a nicely out of focus background, and perfect exposure.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. I enjoyed your link to the www.pbase.com site - I've never seen that before - and I thought your picture actually looked even better there, especially at larger size!

Another good portrait from Laos Steve - good pensive expression on her face, excellent sharpness and colour. Had 1 week in Luang Prabang but could have stayed much longer as you have done.
cheers

Hi Steve
lovely title to what is a beautiful study of this young girl. The light is so subtle as is the blurred bg that makes the shot so effective and enchanting. Excellent!
Enjoy a peaceful Sunday - Brian.

Hi Steve. It is a lovely portrait. The colours, sharpness and dof are fantastic. Just a shame about the heads in the background. Chris

Hello Steve
This is a lovely portrait, and of course it's the expression you've caught which makes it work so well. Street photography is by its nature partly unplannable, and you've decided to grab this momentary expression and not wait for the people in the background to move away. Thankfully your long lens and wide aperture have thrown them sufficiently out of focus!
