Photographer's Note
I did not know much about Kazakhstan when i arrived to Almaty. Kazakhstan and especially Almaty have developed to a modern city with Western-style coffee lounges, fine restaurants and chic bars, not what i expected actually. The days pass quick here because Almaty is located in a beautiful mountainous area and have several museums, parks and a good selections of restaurants and I regret that i did not take more photos, as usual:(

Hejsan Boa,
you have captured this beautiful woman in front of the Eliya and Menshuk memorial. Eliya and Menshuk are two female heroes of World War II. They had to die very young far away in Europe. May the fate of this young woman be a better one.

Det verkar ha hδnt vδldigt mycket i de gamla sovjetstaterna de senaste εren, εtminstone pε ytan. Det hδr pεminner mig om vad jag sett i t ex Kiev, Tbilisi och Jerevan, dδr det ocksε finns gott om flashiga nya byggnader och "nya" mδnniskor. En vδldigt vδltajmad bild som lyfter rejδlt genom kombinationen mellan tjej och sovjetmonument. De rφda vδxterna ger en fin inramning ocksε.
