This was taken in Kyoto right on closing time. I wanted a better quality of light. Wasnt easy balancing out the sky and temple. used a density filter and polariser.

I cannot believe that a place on earth can look that beautiful... I heard many times that Kyoto is a "must see" and have seen many pictures but this one is certainly outstanding. Congratulations!

Hi Alex,
Really impressive photo. The lighting and colours give the picture a kind of unreal atmosphere which makes this photograph very interesting. The red flowers on the front increase the feeling of depth, which I think is an important part of this picture too.
Usually the pictures of Kinkaku-ji are all the same and nothing special, but this is something really amazing.

Wasn't easy but it was worth the effort! :D The result is wonderful, with paste colors on this beautiful lanscape of the temple surrounded by this beautiful nature.
