Photographer's Note
Like any of the big cities in Japan, it's a shoppers paradise around every corner you make. So, with the setting sun casting it's last rays in Nagoya's Sakae District, a lone woman rests, possibly contemplating her day's shopping experience over a cup of coffee. I would assume that she did quite well for herself that day, seated below her were enough bags that could have warranted a pack mule to help her home.

hey Brendon,
I like focus on the woman, really brings her out. As a westerner in Asia I appreciate the availability of western foods and goods, but do you find that it is overshadowing the culture that was there?

Hi Brendon,
As you say, a "shoppers paradise", it's one of the expressions which come to my mind when I think about Japan. Ah ! Starbuck, M.Donut, Don Quixotte, Bic Camera, and so many others. It's interesting to see great buildings when you ho there, but the shopping is also something fascinating.
In your picture, I like the attitude of the girl. But perhaps I wish I see more of her face. And in my opinion, it lacks a second strong elements. In any case, nice soft light on her skin.
Olivier.
