Photographer's Note
Girls with Furisode on "Seijin no hi" (Coming-of-age Day), the second Monday of January in Japan. People celebrate this day to welcome the young women and men, who have turned the age of 20 during the year, as new members of society!
Furisode, the most gorgeous Kimono named after its long swinging sleeves, is the most formal Kimono for unmarried women.
I asked, and took this picture to them met on the street, saying that "May I take your picture? Please!".

It's a very nice collection of smiling beauties, and their kimonos are splendid, are they made of silk ? Pity you cut a bit the left woman's foot. I like the story too, great to have such strong traditions !

I agree with PixelTerror -> the foot can be complete. You can compose little lower and from little far distance

Hello Hisashi,
Beautiful girls in beautiful kimonos (I'd never seen the kimonos with the fur before...). The photo is very sharp and has great colors. It's a pity for the cut foot (Jean-Yves does not let any detail pass...) but I know that in such circumstances one can easily miss out on these little things.
