Photographer's Note
This is the view from my balcony. It has been said that over half of Japanese people have never seen a sunrise or a sunset. The horizon is nearly always blocked by some dreary, concrete monstrosity or the blazing neon signs of a garish love hotel or pachinko parlor. It is as if nature offends the soul of the government and thus must be blotted out by any means necessary.
