Triumph of good over evil. The most-present figure at the entrance of almost all Orissan temples.
It is known as 'Gaja-Simha'- the motif of a lion seated with 3 legs on the back of an elephant. The other front pow is held in front of the chest, ready tho strike the crouching elephant.
