Photographer's Note
In the streets of Mumbai you can also find tailors with sewing machines that would be seen only in antique shops in the west..
I liked the contrast between the peaceful athmosphere in his shop, and, right next to it, the busy streets.
It will go in my Mumbai street vendors and shops theme...

Hi launrent.
Those old sewing machine have so much character. It is a nice daily life scene. I like the division of the composition between the shaded, quiet, concentrated side and the hustle of the street on the other Regards Kevin

Hi, Laurent.
Very intriguing daily-life shot. You managed to get the concentration of the tailor perfectly, contrasting with the street rush. Very good!

Hola Laurent.
Nice to see the street tailor working with his old sewing machines, good to see a young man doing his work in minimal working condition and to see the people crossing by in a daily life scene. Very well composed. It's is a very good shot. TFS.

Unbelievable how can the guy concentrate on what he is doing. The compo is really good with a quite scene on one side and a busy life on the other. You have a quite good light management in this shot and I really like the matching colours of the fabric and the line. Well done.

I think you have managed the light/dark sides of the image well to create a perfect contrast between tthe two "worlds". (light/dark: busy/ peaceful: outside/inside. Another great addition to your theme. (Btw you didn't add it to the theme yet).

A good study of Indian street life Laurent, and a well balanced shot. As you say this would be seen as antique in the west, but in India they just seem to get on with it and always there's a way.
cheers, Leon.

Tailor is a job that doesn't exist any more in our countries... and in Asia there are so many clever tailors! I like this one, so still and concentrate in his work.
I like to wear dresses made by such tailors, I have some made in India or in Thailand,
Your compo is very nice: half picture is the street, and half is tailor's shop

Bonsoir Laurent,

Hi Laurent
Very nice candid capture here...What I like is the different atmospheres portrayed here: the quiet workplace and the baffling street. Very good picture already but if I'm to nitpick I would time it better because I think the person in bright orange with backpack disrupts the balance of the pic a bit.

Hi Laurent,
Amazing to see this fellow working away with his sewing machine, while the tourists and backpackers stride by, seemingly oblivious. I like this two part scene, and the diligent intensity evident on the face of the tailor. This is a first rate capture, Laurent. I like this very much...later.

Merci.
