Photographer's Note
For the last few months I have been actively volunteering for taking pictures for a various NGOs in New Delhi.
.
A whole new experience and very different from travel photography which I had done in the past. Very grounded to real life.
.
This was the one where they have adopted the abandoned and street kids.
Nice times
Tushar

Hi Tushar...
very nice shot with nice framing by this thirsty boy...like his expression during drinking water with nice play of light on his face...
good monochrome image with suggestive details...

Hi Tushar !
A beautiful picture with an amazing management of light and well mastered contrasts, that illustrates well the situtaion of helpless people who need assistance, care, and of course, love. I like the way the young boy with the head leaning back, seems all the more vulnerable, thirsty and in need. But to talk frankly, I wonder why you presented the picture this way. It could have been of as much strong impact if you had rotated the image to show it in vertical (and we wouldn't have a stiff neck!)
Well, anyway, a very good one, to my eyes. I want to congratulate you for both the picture and for your involvements in the NGOs.
Hugs
Marine
PS: never online when I am... and vice-versa, i guess! :(

Hi Tushar,
It must be a such a powerful experience to photograph these scenes, and you bring great skill and sensitivity to this. The natural light makes this more dramatic, that is, it brings the feeling of the moment forth even more, the tones are rich.
Cheers

Hello Tushar
Although this image was uploaded some time back, I couldn't resist a comment. It's a very fine photograph in every respect: control of the natural light, choice of B/W, composition, "serious" subject matter. What is it with TE members that they don't see a great image when they see it??
I have to say I'm reminded of "Tomoko Uemura in Her Bath" by W Eugene Smith, although your subject matter in less painful...
Regards
Will
