A Tranquil Halt, a photo from Uttarakhand, North

Photographer's Note

A heavenly and calm place surrounded by dense green mountains, cheerful Mandakini and glimpse of Kedar range of Himalayas, Chandrapuri can be your excellent halt before your journey to Kedarnath. Chandrapuri is only 25 km from Rudraprayag.

This is mainly a small village. The total population of Chandrapuri is just near about 200.
At 2009, I went there and seriously this place is superb. You'll find yourself the lap of Mother Nature..

This is a nice river valley not unlike what we find around my place!
The low point of view works well for the composition, and the fine light renders rich and vivid colours...

Nice picture of the pure Himalayan beauty. The water is shallow, & IMHO you could have tried a lower POV as an option. The V of the valley in the distance works well dragging our eyes

a beautiful landscape in this fresh and natural composition, well caught by means of a well chosen framing.
The low POV places the rocks in foreground, for to lead our look towards the mountains in background along the river, in a good structure of the elements.
The image is powerful, due to the saturation of the colors.

I have this illusion that I am dipping my feet in the freshness of the stream presented in the photo. The beautiful setting and its view are magnificent. The image provided for us is truly an inviting one. Since I live in town, I can truly appreciate the landscape full of beautiful nature. It must very nice to enjoy the open landscape. Hi Arijit,

That's a heavenly view for sure and your shot shows it to best advantage. Great light and colors. I only think you've over processed the shadows a bit on the mountains and there's a halo along the edges but it doesn't take anything away from the beauty of this place. Wonderful picture.
