Photographer's Note
Took this photograph of an elderly lady in the Kumartuli area in Kolkata, West Bengal.
In India, women are considered to be forms of the Godesses whom we call Maa or the mother the saviour of our lives. Even then its strangely hypocratic that in this country even today girl child is considered bad.
This photograph was shot in color and post processed in PS. Selected the lady in front and then inverse selected the background to make it B/W

Very well captured :))
Dull but valuable sculptures in contrast to the vivid colors of the lady.

Hi Paromita,
Nice POV and perspective. The way you have compared with Goddess with Motherly love is very appreciating. I was not comfortable with the heterogeneous color mode so I had done a workshop for you. Its only my independent opinion and the PP you have done is good too. I just wanted to see how it looks if its homogeneous. Hope you will enjoy it.
