Photographer's Note
This is the Neelkanth Mountain from the Garhwaal region of the Himalayas. The name suggests Lord Shiva, the god who, according to Hindu mythology, drank all the poison that came from the sea along with immortalising nectar. His throat turned blue with the poison, hence the name Neel (blue) Kanth (throat). The mountain also looks somewhat like the map of India (with a few liberties of course)!

Hi Siddhartha.
Welcome to TE, have fun posting.
I have seen this kind of motives many times,
but the outstanding light management and the great idea makes this photo special.
Simple composition and few colours works well.
This effect makes the mountain even more majestic.
Also interesting what you say in the note, that this looks like a map of India.
The blue sky is the ocean and except from India, the rest is black.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Fredrik.
