Photographer's Note
People who have travelled to Pushkar will never miss clicking a Sadhu.. This Sadhu volunteered for a snap.
I regretted not having my zoom lens handy, for I would have got a tight close-up of his face. The lady in the background is a bit disturbing, well I couldn't ask her to go away because she posed for the next snap ;)

Hey Karthik,
To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice the lady until you pointed her out. :) Every portrait doesn't have to be a closeup, it's refreshing to see them from this distance every now & then.
I like the heatwaves in the background & the contrastyness of the entire image.

The lady is fine and provides an extra layer to your background where the DOF is spot on. The slightly unfocussed hand to the fore also adds interest and was well captured.
Again I'd be interested to see the colour original - not because I think it would be better (the sepia photos in this series work really well) more just out of interest to see how things change. Try posting it as a workshop.

I like this image Karthik. He his posing naturally and that's good.. I only wish I could see tthe tiffin box..
But it's ok like that..

This is exactly why we go to Pushkar, to see these wonderfully wise old faces.
I just thought that what you say is a lady, is just part of the clutter that is Pushkar.
