Photographer's Note
This man was sitting at the entrance of the Jodhpur fort playing beautiful music. He had lost one leg and I wanted to highlight that and keep him in the background. He looked very engrosed in his music and thought it would make a good photograph.

the idea to use the artificial leg.. to convey a kindo of a message without actually showing the subject properly is a good one..
the composition is very compact and strangely enough it works for me.
another composition which you could try in the future is ..
focus on the artificial leg and keep the man in a blur instead of in a shade..
or you could simply get such a composition that only his artificical leg , his instrument and his hands playing the instrument.. , that is ( exculding his face and as much of his torso as possible)
this may sound strange right onw, but it might give you a new perspective when you look through the viewfinder.
i saw lots of these scenes in cambodia too
take care :)

Hi Ashit,
Your idea in this photo is excellent,
your target is completed in this photo, good composition, with the diagonals, maybe a pity about the dark face.

Hi Ashit, Powerful image and well composed. I guess it would be better with more light on the man's face but of course you could not really expect him to stop playing and move for you! Maybe flash might have worked tho. Anyway - still a very nice shot.
