Photographer's Note

This picture was taken in Tranquebar (locally, Tarangabad), a small town in the southeastern coast of India. Built during the Dutch colonial rule of this region in the 18th century. Many buildings from the colonial era are still intact and make an interesting contrast to the adjacent, bustling local community. The town is best known for a fort by the sea, also built by the dutch. Also of interest to beach bums and the health concious is that the beach is in an ozone rich region. I didnt know this when I was there, but there was something in the air.
