A great image for Trekearth. The intense melee of the crowd - the general excitement - it all comes across very well.
Maybe the image could be a little brighter but I think this is a great capture of an extraordinary scene - well done.

Joe,
great timing.The charging bull would send chills donw the spine.What happened to the lad whos facing it.
The flying dust shows how electrifying the moment would have been..Infinite number of men against one bull.I would consider the bull a winner even if anyone tames it.It should be only because of exhaustion facing the mob.

Great shot of this happening. I remeber also some other great shots by Oochappan about the same festival, it must be very interesting and awful to look at. A very good work!!

This photo is really dramatic - or spectacular, and I did not know that such event was taking place in Madurai, a place where I returned at least 6 times... (otherwise, a great city anyway, except for the cacophony in some hotels :(((...)
