Photographer's Note

I suppose this is nothing special. I just took a photo of what I thought was an amusing sign and included the people who happened to be passing by.

This is from Hyderabad, the sixth largest city of India, in 1987. In the same street, or the same vicinity, I found a large number of "bone setting" clinics. According to Wikipedia bone setting is a kind of traditional healing method for treating pains in backs, legs etc. In the Western world bone setters have usually been replaced by chiropractors, osteopaths or physical therapists.

I am not in a position to say which kind of treatment to recommend. I only post this photo to give you a glimpse of an ordinary street in an Indian city almost 30 years ago.

Hyderabad nowadays belongs to the recently created state of Telangana, but I wouldn't ever expect that state to become an option on TE. For the time being the city is the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
