Photographer's Note
I was walking in Gurgaon - a town near Delhi - when I saw a poor family living in tents in front of a business complex. I clicked them pretty shy and felt guilty when they recogniced me. The family was very friendly though. Children were running to me and wanted to be clicked. When I showed them the pictures on the display, they were so happy...
After that I decided to develope the pictures and give them to the family.
So after a couple of weeks I visited them again with the developed pictures. They could not believe that I wanted to give them the pictures.

Daniel, your photo shows a very nice girl, I like the pose and her eyes. Your note is also interesting for me. I thought that maybe the contrast is too strong, and maybe would be better to have less of forehead. I mean - a bit lower point of view or maybe you could ask her to lift her head a bit. Or maybe the frame could be larger... I'm not sure what I would improve, but I have the impression something should be changed. Anyway, thanks for posting!

Seems cropped big time, but as this, there is a cinematographic quality to your shot, we can almost imagine she is acting a scene from an old B&W indian movie.
Nice story. i think the shallowness that was discussed in the forum about shooting in India was a bit severe in regards to TE membership.

Hi daniel. VERY strong portrait, beautifully rendered in processing. The eyes are strong and hugely expressive. feels like a high quality Indian m0vie poster (Satyajit Ray...?) Excellent work.

This is a very nice shot, the black and white gives it a more gentle touch as well.
It was a very nice thing you did as well. Giving photographers a good name :-)
