Photographer's Note
... on our journey, still.
... few meters south of Kashi Mitra Ghaat.
This is typical ghaat, named after the person who constructed it, now in ruins. The structure is deserted, while growing trees have inflicted injuries with cracks all over.
They sometime resemble old people, who are neglected in the society.
Thanks to a recent drive by the City Corporation, some of these old, abandoned ghaats are renovated.

this is nice... ruins always have an air of mystery, beauty and a lot more to them. they quite intrigue and in a way scare me.
i like this picture Arnab, but am also posting a b/w version for the heck of it. see and let me know what you have to say,
take care,

Good work!

Beautiful pieceful, quiet picture. I really like your composition with water and boat in the distance on the right. Nice 'flat' colours but I mean in a positive way.

Nice photo. Bit of more exposure on the building would have beeen good. And someone sitting on the platform would have worked as a bonus.

I like what you present here. Think I share with you this fascination for ruins and old buildings. :) Though the difference in intensity of light in the two halves of your composition has resulted in the inherent problem of imbalance in exposure.
