Glimpses of Lighting in Park Street, Dec,2012.

Mother Teresa Sarani, formerly Park Street and still often called by that name, and originally Burial Ground Road, is a street in the city of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. Park Street has been the recreation zone for Kolkata people since the British era, with many restaurants and pubs. It is often known as "Food Street" and "The Street that Never Sleeps".

Cities around the world get illuminated to celebrate the joy of Christmas and New Year.
Kolkata too gets brightly illuminated as many streets dazzle in sparkling lights.

Truly they bring out the colour of joy that the city dresses in. Yes, it is the colour of living life to the lees.
Park Street keeps its legacy of bright lighting which started during the British Era.
it has lost most of the colonial time glory but still manages to attract visitors by the million ...and Especially during the festive time (Christmas & New Year).
