Photographer's Note
Country boats operate ferries on the hooghly river between Dakshineshwar and BelurMath. The boats carry people mainly coming to visit these two sacred sites on the opposite sides of the river.
On this day as the sun started its descent and evening slowly setting in, a boat has just started from the ghat(jetty)taking people to BelurMath.
The setting light and sunrays falling on water was hard to miss for us on the riverbank.

very well done with good sunset scene.
One suggestion ( If you don't mind ), this image could have been better if you focused more on exposure bracketing.

Hello Ranjan,
Golden path created on the water has a very significant presence in your photo. Equally interesting part of this image is in the path of the ferry left on the water. I like the crossing of those two paths creating a cross in your image. Slightly tilted horizontal line, in this case, helps us to imagine that we are also on a boat, looking at the image together with you. I love the overall tone of this photo. I think your exposure is just fine. The sun & the reflection of it in the water balances well with the silhouetted boat. What I might have liked is this picture in landscape format with the sun exactly in the same place as it is. Very nice picture with a fine mood

This is a beautiful scene, full of tranquillity and stillness. I like the colours, but I think you over-saturated a little as you can see halo'ing around the sun and the burnt out bit in the river. Soft colours on the left are absolutely dreamy and you composed the shot well with the little boat to the left. Nice work, keep up the good work.

I love to see some highlights in the shadow areas in the shot like this in particular to the moving boat, the silhouette is too hard IMHO. This effect can be achived by using neutral Nd filter to balance the exposure on both grounds. Also the horizon needs to be horizontal and slightly oversatutared. Nevertheless, this is an exciting subject to any photographer and me included. However what really impressed me is the beautiful reflected colours on the water surface, and the fireball. They add to boost the fanfare of this image. Great attempt, Conrats
