Some of the ladies are waiting for the time. Some are busy in preparing those 'dala's (those buckets of fruits and flowers) for puja.
.
Photo captured at some time ago of sunset, at the eve of Chhat Puja. It is celebrated at the morning of the day with rising sun and with the setting sun at previous day. Chhat is a Puja while people use to worship God Sun.

a lovely photo, with a simple and eloquent composition that shows us how the people spend the day enjoying and celebrating the sunlight. I like how the offerings extend across the frame, the ladies' attitude is interesting and the whole scene with its details and reflections is clear and vivid against the smooth, contrasting backdrop. I think that the colour of the frame is a little distracting, even though it can't compete with the brightness and colour of your photo. You captured the light superbly, celebrating it in your own way:) Congratulations and thank you!

sei molto bravo nel riprendere queste scene di vita lungo il fiume e lo fai sempre creando composizioni interessanti e ricche di colore.
Anche in questa hai saputo gestire molto bene la scena con ricchezza di dettagli che aiutano a capire le particolaritΰ della vita e delle usanze dell'India.

The magical light shows the colours of this scene at its best. The tight framing shows us how carefully the offerings are prepared. The woman bending down makes this a very special composition and one I enjoy very much. Pin sharp and very well exposed in the harsh light conditions.

A shot so far removed from my experiences it has by its obviously colourful and cultural nature a huge charm Subhendu. Fantastic little details can be seen, the red-painted feet for example. The riverside setting adds a clean and uncluttered backdrop allowing the main subject to be fully enjoyed without distraction. Marvelous. Warm regards Rosemary

Long time no see! I love this photograph for its colour and its composition: the triangle of people and baskets of fruit pointing to and stopping at the stooping figure. And no other background distractions. A real masterpiece, though I'm not convinced about the frame!
